PhotoniX Forum
is a prestigious academic conference named after PhotoniX, the top-tier international journal in optics. It focuses on the core and frontier technologies of optics and photonics, and promotes the in-depth interdisciplinary integration of photonics with information and communication, new energy, functional materials, life and health, precision intelligent manufacturing, optoelectronic core devices, micro/nano photonics and other cutting-edge fields. Centering on the theme of “Light Leads Future, Cross-Disciplines Drive Innovation”, the forum gathers worldwide scholars to discuss disruptive fundamental theories, key core technologies and innovative application achievements, aiming to build a high-end platform for international academic exchanges as well as industry-university-research collaborative innovation.

PhotoniX Forum HK 2026 is scheduled to take place in Hong Kong in December 2026. Jointly organized by the Chinese Society for Optical Engineering (CSOE), Tsinghua University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and other renowned domestic and overseas universities and research institutions, the Organization Committee warmly welcomes distinguished academic experts, research and industry elites, as well as young scholars from around the globe to participate.  Yasumoto International Academic Plaza

The Yasumoto International Academic Park, a new landmark on the campus of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, was founded in tribute to Dr. Kenshu Yasumoto — a Japanese entrepreneur and philanthropist. In 2005, Dr. Yasumoto donated HK$100 million to fund the University’s International Exchange Scholarship Scheme and support its international academic exchange initiatives, for which the Park was built as a sincere expression of gratitude.
The Yasumoto International Academic Park is a major academic precinct of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. It is situated about 112 metres northeast of Exit D, University MTR Station, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong.
