In recent years, the interdisciplinary convergence of optics and photonics, microelectronics, advanced materials, chemistry, artificial intelligence, and life sciences has spawned new theories, methods, and technologies. Optical engineering is increasingly empowering the industrial sector. The rapid integration of next-generation information technologies—including the Internet, big data, AI, and optical engineering—with the real economy is globally disrupting traditional production, organizational, and business models, accelerating industrial transformation and the rise of emerging industries. The deep fusion of digital and physical economies is propelling the upgrading of traditional sectors and the birth of new industries, new business forms, and new models.
Against this backdrop, the China Society of Optical Engineering (CSOE) will host the Ninth International Conference on Intelligent Industry (GIIC 2026) from April 10 to 12, 2026 in Bao'an, Shenzhen. Under the theme "Innovation-Driven, Cross-Disciplinary Integration, Empowering Industry, Shaping the Future", the conference will feature a plenary forum on "Leading with New-Quality Productive Forces, Innovating through Integration", alongside a series of specialized symposia covering intelligent manufacturing, industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, big data, intelligent sensing, and related fields, providing an in-depth examination of cutting-edge technologies and industrial trends.
